Here's one of the easiest ways we've found to clean up rough aluminum and steel surfaces. Abrasive loaded nylon mesh is gathered in place to form an effective non-loading surface conditioning tool. Unique mushroom shape fits into recesses. Leaves a 320 grit finish. Attached 1/4" mandrel easily
