Planishing Hammer - Long used in metal fab and restoration to smooth large areas of metal, welds and gentle panel crowning. The power head is a heavy-duty aircraft rivet gun, not a cheap air chisel. The sturdy frame with 18" throat depth, is beefy enough to smooth 18-gauge steel! A quick release allows the lower shaft to slide down, to accept panels with deep flanges. The power head adjustment controls the intensity from light to very powerful hammering. A foot control starts and stops the hammering. The tool inc. one 1-1/2" dia. flat top die, 3 anvils with different contours and instructions. Made in USA
